With a title inspired by Magnum co-founder Robert Capa’s quote »If your pictures aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough,« Close Enough presents more than one hundred works of art by women, including Sabiha Çimen’s explorations of the experiences of young Islamic women in Turkey, Alessandra Sanguinetti’s long-term collaboration with the rural Argentinean cousins Guille and Belinda, Bieke Deporter’s dialogue with Egyptians from diverse social, cultural and religious backgrounds, and Susan Meiselas’ work with women who sought refuge from domestic violence in the UK. Also included are works by Olivia Arthur, Myriam Boulos, Cristina de Middel, Carolyn Drake, Nanna Heitmann, Hannah Price, Lua Ribeira, Cristina Garcia Rodero, and Newsha Tavakolian. The exhibition has been curated by the photographers together with Charlotte Cotton, coinciding with the seventyfifth anniversary of Magnum Photos’ founding.

Artists: Alessandra Sanguinetti, Myriam Boulos, Sabiha Çimen, Olivia Arthur, Nanna Heitmann, Lúa Ribeira, Carolyn Drake, Bieke Depoorter, Hannah Price, Cristina García Rodero, Cristina de Middel, Newsha Tavakolian, Susan Meiselas
