Haus am Kleistpark is a significant exhibition venue for artistic photography in Berlin. As a municipal art gallery, it offers a non-commercial space to present relevant contemporary positions and their engagement with current discourses. Under gallery director Franziska Schmidt, the large exhibition hall (Große Ausstellungshalle) and project space (Projektraum) show five exhibits per year, respectively, thus creating a program that stands for openness, experimentation, and top-tier artistic discoveries. Admission to all its events is free of charge. In addition, it provides continuous support for artists with its annual photography work scholarship.
